JOB SUMMARY:
This is a direct service position as an entrance screening team member. Screening team members uphold Harrisburg Medical Center’s Mission, Vision and Values. Screening team members provide a welcoming greeting and exceptional customer service to all who enter the facility while performing their primary responsibility to screen employees, patients, and visitors for temperature, possible COVID-19 symptoms, and previous exposure to COVID 19 confirmed cases and provide appropriate instructions based on hospital policy in regards to results of screening. Screening team members maintain required documentation and disburse surgical masks as needed. May assist patients and visitors with directions within the facility or patient transport as needed. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or GED( transcript required)
Training: 1 week
Experience: Prior customer service-related experience preferred
Job Knowledge: Ability to understand current COVID-19 hospital policies for employees, patients and visitors and implement those policies. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment while exhibiting excellent communication skills. Shows respect to all patients, visitors, and colleagues. Exhibit understanding and compliance with HIPAA (patient confidentiality and privacy).

Physical Demands:
Moderate walking, standing, stooping, and bending. Sitting for prolonged periods of time. May be required to lift medium weights of 25-50 lbs. and ability to push people in a wheelchair
Special Demands: Must have the ability to work independently and as a team member. Must have ability to work with frequent interruptions. Must have ability to display courtesy, respect and consideration for patients, visitors, and co-workers of all ages.
